Disclaimer
Compliant IQ is an automated tool that compares the wording on websites and in documents against published advertising and conduct rules that apply to Australian health, disability and aged care businesses. Its reports are guidance to help you review your own marketing. They are not legal advice, and no lawyer-client relationship is created by using the service.
A report can be wrong in both directions. It can flag wording that is acceptable in context, and it can miss wording that is not. A report with no findings does not mean your marketing is compliant, and a finding does not mean you have broken the law. Severity labels (High, Medium, Review) are our estimate of how likely and how serious a problem is, not a legal determination.
Compliant IQ is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, the National Disability Insurance Agency, the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency or any National Board, the Therapeutic Goods Administration, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission, or any other regulator.
Rules change. Each report shows the date the rule set it used was last reviewed. Suggested rewrites are drafts produced with the help of an AI model; check them before publishing. For decisions with legal or financial consequences, get advice from a qualified lawyer or your regulator.
Privacy policy
This policy explains what Compliant IQ [operated by LEGAL ENTITY, ABN XX XXX XXX XXX] collects, why, and what you can ask us to do about it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
- Your details. The email address you give us to receive a report or sign in, and, for paid plans, your name and organisation. Payment card details go directly to Stripe; we never see or store them.
- Website content. When you scan a site we fetch its public pages and keep the extracted text, page titles, image descriptions and links, so the report can quote what was on the page and so you can rescan and compare. We do not collect anything that is not already publicly visible on that site.
- Uploaded documents (content checker, when available). Processed to produce the check and then deleted, unless you turn on history for your account. We keep a hash of the file and the findings so the check is auditable.
- Usage information. Which scans and checks were run, when, from which IP address, and which reports were opened or unlocked. We use this to run the service, prevent abuse and understand what is useful.
How we use it
To produce and deliver your reports, to send you the report link and account emails, to take payment, to keep the service secure, and to improve the rules. We may email you about Compliant IQ after a free scan; every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. We do not sell personal information.
Who else sees it
Service providers that run parts of the product on our behalf: Supabase (database and sign-in, hosted in Sydney), Anthropic (the AI model that reviews flagged passages; passages are sent without your account details and are not used to train models), Stripe (payments), [Resend] (email) and our hosting provider. Some of these process data outside Australia. We do not share the content of your reports with anyone else unless you share the link, or the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Reports and extracted page text are kept while you have an account or for [12 months] after a free scan, then deleted. Audit records of checks (who ran what, when, and the findings) are kept for [7 years] because customers rely on them as evidence of review. You can ask us to delete a report or your account sooner.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing hello@compliantiq.com.au. If you have a complaint we will respond within 30 days; if you are not satisfied you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Scanning sites you don’t own
Scans read public pages only, honour robots.txt, and identify themselves in their request headers. If you own a site and want it excluded from scanning, email hello@compliantiq.com.au.
Terms of use
- The service. Compliant IQ provides automated compliance checks of websites and documents. By using it you accept these terms and the disclaimer above.
- Acceptable use. Scan only sites you own, manage, or have a legitimate business reason to review (for example, a client or a prospect you are pitching). Do not use the service to harass, to overload a site, or to build a competing rule set. We may rate-limit or block abusive use.
- Accounts. You are responsible for the email address on your account and for anyone you give access to a report link. Report links are unguessable but not password-protected; treat them like the report itself.
- Payment. Prices are shown in Australian dollars and include GST. One-off report purchases are final once the report is unlocked. Subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled; cancel any time and you keep access until the end of the period paid for. If a scan fails to complete after purchase, we will re-run it or refund you.
- No guarantee of compliance. We do not warrant that reports are complete or correct, or that following them will make your marketing compliant. To the extent the Australian Consumer Law allows, our liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to re-supplying the service or refunding the amount you paid for it in the previous 12 months.
- Your content. You keep ownership of your documents and website content. You give us permission to process them to provide the service. We own the rule sets, the software and the report format.
- Changes. We may update these terms and the rules we check. We will note the date at the top of this page and, for material changes, email account holders.
- Law. These terms are governed by the laws of [Victoria / New South Wales], Australia.
